Extruded Linseed and Oregano Dietary Supplementation: Effects on Growth Performance, Carcass Composition, and Meat Quality of Jonica Kids

To evaluate the influence of linseed and oregano dietary supplementation in Jonica kids, we carried out a trial that involved 30 male kids 20 days old, divided into three groups ten animals. Each group was ascribed to one following treatments: (C) control fed without any supplement; (L) feed containing 3% extruded (Linum usitatissimum); (L + O) diet with 0.6% dried (Origanum vulgare) linseed. The were slaughtered at 60 age; carcass cut yields performed. Longissimus lumborum muscle separated determinate physical, chemical, fatty acid composition. Linseed enrich acids are easier oxidize; instead, addition oregano, thanks its antioxidant properties, allows longer conservation profitable marketing.
